Texas’ first man-made, crystalline lagoon can be found in Balmoral, creating a beach lifestyle and event venue like none other. Part of the two-acre Balmoral Amenity Village, this tropical lagoon is framed with white sandy beaches and lush landscaping. It is a pocket of paradise found in the heart of greater Houston.

Anchoring the lagoon is a sprawling clubhouse that offers 7,500 square feet of imagination. Fully equipped for weddings, corporate events, birthdays and anniversaries, the sky is the limit when it comes to throwing an unforgettable event. Who has access to Balmoral Lagoon?

Balmoral Lagoon is a semi-private facility for Resident Members only. Our Resident Members have the ability to bring in a limited amount of guests each day which is outlined in their Rules & Regulations.

Semi-private means anyone is able to rent out certain areas of the Lagoon for various private events such as birthday parties, graduation parties, corporate events, weddings and more!

There is no public access or day passes allowed at Balmoral Lagoon. Please check out other lagoons in the area which do have public access tickets including:
Lago Mar Lagoon in Texas City, TX
Angel Lagoon in Dayton, TX

What about the weather?

We have a flag system in place to aid in informing patrons on current the weather conditions.

Green Flag indicates patrons may enjoy swimming with caution.
Yellow Flag indicates potentially dangerous weather may be in proximity and watercraft area or other activities may cease.
Red Flag indicates potentially harmful weather may be in close proximity and all water activities may cease.

Patrons are responsible at all times for their children and to follow directions from management.

How deep is the Balmoral Crystal Clear Lagoon?

Balmoral Lagoon is eight feet deep at its deepest. This area is exclusive for watercraft, therefore swimming is not allowed.

Our swim zones have a depth of approximately 4.5 feet with a beach entry.

Is there a designated swimming area in the Balmoral Crystal Clear Lagoon?

The designated swimming areas have a gradual decline to about four and a half feet deep and are separated from the deeper areas of the Crystal-Clear Lagoon by a buoy line reserved for watercraft.

What food and drink can I bring during a regular operating day at the Lagoon?

Members may bring in manufacture-sealed non-alcoholic drinks and snacks.

NO entry / exit with open liquid containers.

Balmoral Lagoon offers a vast array of exciting programming to further enhance the Lagoon Life experience – ALL YEAR ROUND!

Private Events – You, too, can plan your own special event with us at Balmoral Crystal Clear Lagoon! We offer venue space rental for corporate or team-building events, birthday parties, weddings, and more! Private Events are where venue space may be rented in advance for you to host your own corporate picnic, birthday party, wedding or family gathering.

What are the requirements to book an event?

Both residents and non-residents can book events year-round, with resident-member discounts applying to certain events! All venue renters will be required to sign a waiver, an event agreement and the Rules and Regulations document, as well as adhere to all Balmoral Crystal Clear Lagoon and Beach Club rules and regulations.
